Initial 20 Hour Service

  • Spark plug – Check condition and clean, regap, or replace if necessary.
  • Valves – Check valve clearance and adjust if necessary.
  • Air filter element – Clean and replace if necessary.
  • Sub air filter element – Clean and replace if necessary.
  • Front brake – Check operation and correct if necessary – Check fluid level and ATV for fluid leakage, and correct if necessary – Replace brake pads if necessary.
  • Rear brake – Check operation and correct if necessary – Check brake lever and pedal free play, and adjust if necessary – Check brake friction plate wear and replace if necessary.
  • Wheels – Check runout and for damage, and replace if necessary.
  • Tires – Check tread depth and for damage, and replace if necessary – Check air pressure and balance, and correct if necessary.
  • Wheel hub bearings – Check for looseness or damage, and replace if necessary.
  • V-belt – Check for wear, cracks or other damage, and replace if necessary.
  • Chassis fasteners – Make sure that all nuts, bolts, and screws are properly tightened.
  • Steering system – Check operation and repair or replace if damaged – Check toe-in and adjust if necessary.
  • Axle boots – Check for cracks or other damage, and replace if necessary.
  • Engine oil – Change – Check ATV for oil leakage, and correct if necessary.
  • Engine oil filter cartridge – Replace.
  • Engine oil strainer – Clean.
  • Differential gear oil – Change – Check ATV for oil leakage, and correct if necessary.
  • Final gear oil – Change – Check ATV for oil leakage, and correct if necessary.
  • Cooling system – Check coolant level and ATV for coolant leakage, and correct if necessary.
  • Throttle lever – Check operation – Check throttle lever free play, and adjust if necessary – Lubricate cable and lever housing.
  • Front and rear brake switches – Check operation and correct if necessary.
  • Lights and switches – Check operation and correct if necessary – Adjust headlight beams.

Initial 3 Month Service / 800 Miles / 80 Hours

  • Spark plug – Check condition and clean, regap, or replace if necessary.
  • Valves – Check valve clearance and adjust if necessary.

  • Sub air filter element – Clean and replace if necessary.

  • Fuel line – Check fuel hoses for cracks or other damage, and re- place if necessary.
  • Spark plug – Check condition and clean, regap, or replace if necessary.
  • Valves – Check valve clearance and adjust if necessary.
  • Crankcase breather system – Check breather hose for cracks or other damage, and replace if necessary.
  • Exhaust system – Check for leakage and replace gasket(s) if necessary – Check for looseness and tighten all screw clamps and joints if necessary.
  • Spark arrester – Clean.
  • Air induction system – Check the air cut-off valve, reed valve, and hose for damage – Check condition and clean or replace if necessary.
  • Air filter element – Clean and replace if necessary.
  • Sub air filter element – Clean and replace if necessary.
  • Front brake – Check operation and correct if necessary – Check fluid level and ATV for fluid leakage, and correct if necessary – Replace brake pads if necessary
  • Rear brake – Check operation and correct if necessary – Check brake lever and pedal free play, and adjust if necessary – Check brake friction plate wear and replace if necessary.

  • Steering system – Check operation and repair or replace if damaged – Check toe-in and adjust if necessary.
  • Engine mount – Check for cracks or other damage, and replace if necessary.
  • Axle boots – Check for cracks or other damage, and replace if necessary.
