Torque-rich 125cc EU5+ engine with VVA

The MT-125's thrilling 125cc 4-valve liquid-cooled EU5+ engine is equipped with Yamaha's exclusive Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system featuring two intake cams. This R125 Supersport-derived technology enables the engine to deliver exciting levels of torque at lower engine speeds and outstanding top-end performance when you open the throttle.

5-inch colour TFT display with three themes

The MT-125's 5-inch colour TFT display comes with three switchable themes to present your bike's vital information in crisp clear detail, including your latest smartphone notifications and music track status to keep you connected and informed out on your ride.

Increased smartphone connectivity

The MT-125's CCU communicates with the MyRide app so text and call notifications, plus weather and music track status are displayed on the dashboard. Turn-by-turn navigation is also enabled providing waypoint arrival times, street name information and destination weather conditions to keep you informed throughout your ride.

The MT-125's bold twin eyes are the gateway to the Dark Side of Japan. No other lightweight comes with the street presence and intimidating attitude of this MT, with its menacing twin-eye position lights that project a predatory stare. The ultra-compact single LED headlight projects a brilliant beam that enables you to see and be seen.

Assist and slipper clutch

The MT-125 is equipped with an assist and slipper (A&S) clutch with a super-light feeling at the lever that gives easy gear changing. As well as requiring less physical input from the rider, the A&S clutch importantly makes aggressive high-rev downshifts even smoother and helps prevent rear wheel lock ups to give you greater control of your MT.

Sporty Deltabox-inspired frame and aluminium swing

The Supersport-derived Deltabox style frame and aluminium swingarm deliver light and sporty handling, as well as impressive comfort and confidence at higher speeds. Together with its compact bodywork, the geometry of this MT is optimised to achieve mass centralisation and a dynamic riding position that encourages you to unleash the Dark Side of Japan.

High-specification 41mm upside down front forks

Equipped with 41mm tubes, the premium upside down forks inspired by the larger MT models provide excellent handling in a range of different riding conditions, while offering 130mm of smooth and responsive suspension travel for a comfortable ride.

Wide 140-section rear tire

Adding to the MT-125’s aggressive stance, the wide 140-section rear tyre not only looks like it means business but is designed to handle the torque delivered by the model’s latest EU5+ 125cc engine. Traction Control System.

The MT-125 comes equipped with TCS. Using advanced ECU functions and real-time riding data provided by sensors at the rear wheel, the chances of drifting or slipping in wet conditions are minimized to give you ultimate controllability and maximum thrill.

Radial-mount caliper and 292mm front disc

For strong and precise braking performance together with a high level of feel, the MT-125 is fitted with a radial mount caliper and a large 292mm diameter disc for optimum stopping power. This class-leading set-up gives accurate fingertip control at lower speeds, together with outstanding braking performance at higher speeds.
